From trends in media and society to research priorities

The Vrije Universiteit Brussel will organise ScreenME-Net’s third online workshop. Building on the results of the second workshop, the objective of this workshop is to identify common or complementary research priorities and methods in the consortium. An emphasis is put on how such research priorities and methods can inform policy-makers.

The day will start with a recap of the outcomes of previous efforts. It is followed by a discussion on how to link research priorities with policy objectives. After the lunch break, a few research priorities will be selected, each of which will be discussed in terms of research questions and methodologies.

The workshop will be preceded by the VUB Symposium on Netflix’s development and current positioning in the EU organized the day before. It showcases findings from recent and ongoing research projects on platforms and audiovisual markets
